The Limited Liability Company: the LLC

LLCs are very popular with non-resident shareholders who have no business with the U.S. as they are fiscally transparent, so that non-US income is not subject to U.S. federal income tax and they are not required to file a tax return.

For non-US residents, the use of a "S" Company is not possible because one of the requirements to create a "S" company is that all shareholders must be U.S. residents.
